CALWER

Carl Gustav Calwer (1821-1874) was a German entomologist who specialised in beetles. His most famous work is the 'Bug Book' which went through many editions until 1916. Less well known is his work in three volumes of 'Agricultural and Technical Botany', 1852-1855, which describes Germany's field and garden crops, particularly fruits and berries.
