ETIENNE BAUDET

Baudet was born at Vineuil, Loir-et-Cher, France in 1636. He studied under Sebastien Bourdon and Cornelis Bloemaert, and later went to live in Rome where he perfected his craft. He became an eminent engraver, and made engravings after the work of the most distinguished masters of Italy and France. He was a member of the Royal Academy of Paris, in which city he died in 1711.
