SAMUEL BUCK

Known for the numerous engravings of views in England and Wales which Samuel and his brother Nathaniel published from about 1727 until 1749. The brothers would travel the country making detailed drawings of sights and ruins and acquiring subscribers for the subsequent engravings. Their Autumns were spent transforming their work to engravings and selling them in sets. Our collection comprises a series of panoramic Thames river views. Rising beyond the river are renowned English landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, St..Pauls Cathedral and Tower Bridge.
